High Tech History Timeline
1986 - High Tech was established as a mold polishing company.
1993 - Engraving began with the purchase of the first Yag Laser.
1998 - A second laser engraving facility opened in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Foba North America was established featuring “deep engraving laser technology”, selling and servicing laser systems.
1999 - The laser engraving facility located in Gloucester, MA was sold to Mold Tech, a division of Standex.
1999 - The Addition of a fixed head CO2 Laser System allowed High Tech to expand into the Advertising Specialty and promotions market.
2001 - FOBA North America Laser Systems was sold to focus exclusively on job shop services.
2001 - High Tech moves its operation into a newly constructed 11,200 square foot facility.
2001 - The purchase of another CO2 laser system broadened the existing scope of Advertising Specialty engraving to “on the fly” rotary marking and cutting.
2005 - A second cabinet style CO2 laser was added to the High Tech fleet.
2005 - High Tech Purchased a large 4’ x 8’ flat bed CO2 laser designed for large material cutting and engraving to service the sign making and metal fabrication industries.
2007 - The acquisition of a 3-axis Yag Laser system brought new capabilities to High Tech’s ever expanding laser engraving services. The system made unmanned laser engraving possible and offered greater accuracy with its included touch probe
and camera system.
2009 - High Tech Polishing expands into its own facility next door to High Tech Laser.
